Rustic Bar Stools




I wish I would have taken a before picture, they were a light oak wood color.  I got them at a yard sale a set of 4 for $25. I couldn't pass up a deal like that.  
How to make :
I first lightly sanded the stools, then painted with gray paint, let dry, then I sanded with electric sander, Then painted with black paint, let dry and sanded.  Thats all easy and turned out fun and rustic!

Chicken Wire Picture Frame

This is a beautiful decoration for any room in the house, This frame is perfect for showing off all the gorgeous, amazing people in our lives! (we all have them) It is a very inexpensive project. You will need: 1 picture frame ( any size ) I got mine at a thrift store for $1.50 sand paper chicken wire  (ace hardware is where I got mine) wire cutters paint of your choice stain ( optional) stapler First I lightly sanded the picture frame, then I wiped off the dust. I used 2 colors to paint mine, First a darker teal/turquoise color, then let it dry, then I sanded it to look antique, then painted lighter teal/turquoise color, let that dry, then sanded edges again to look antique, I then took a an old wash cloth and dipped it in stain, went over picture frame with stain, then took a dry towel and wiped off the stain.  After it was all dry I stapled the chicken wire to the back of the frame. Now you have a beautiful accent for your home!

Farmhouse Sign

Recently, I have been on a farmhouse Everything!  I love it! Such a warm and inviting style.  So I took on the task of making my own sign. I chose a font to cut out on vinyl to use as a stencil, got some wood cut to size, stain and some ivory and black acrylic paint .  So I started by staining the wood first a dark brown. Then I dry brushed light layers of ivory on it over and over. Then I put the vinyl on as a stencil and applied black paint to write Farmhouse. Let it dry . I then took off  the vinyl and added twine to the sides. It was easy , fun and added so much to our family room.  Let me know if you have any questions.
